Whenever we recommend something it means that we have tried and tested the product and recommend it highly. We buy a lot of our personal pet care goods on Amazon but we also buy from a local, independently owned, pet food store in our area. We urge you to do the same.

Quality pet food cannot be manufactured on a mass scale. That’s why you can’t find quality pet food products in Supermarkets, Convenient stores, Petco, Petsmart, Wegman’s etc. The only food that you can buy from Supermarkets are those that can manufacture them without huge quantities of quality protein and other ingredients. That’s why massive pet food manufacturing companies use so much grain and non-meat products because they need to supply a kazillion supermarkets.

Its important to buy from Small Business Pet Food stores because they are a convenient source in getting better pet food than Supermarkets and Pet Food Store Chains. Granted, not all pet food stores are going to sell high quality pet food but one thing I can bet on is that Small Business Food Manufacturers will always provide better ingredients than Commercial Pet Food Manufacturers. But again, its always good to know how to read labels. The top 5 ingredients of any quality pet food should always be the source of protein.
